The numbers of students within College-owned housing is shown on this map. Each residential unit is colored yellow. Each adjacent dot indicates five students in residence. Building totals are entered in circles.
In the fall of 1998, a total of 984 students could be accommodated in College housing. Sector A, to the east of College Road, is the Fraternity Circle area, housing 155 students. Sector B, the northwestern portion of the campus, represents the majority of the newer housing on campus, with the noted exception of Cushing Hall, occupied after its full restoration in the autumn of 1998. There are 662 student beds in this area. Sector C lies to the south of Via Sacra; 166 students lived there during the campus planning studies.
Though the student populace is spread across the campus, the dominant residential precinct is clearly established to the west of College road and north of the academic core.
