Dear Student-Athlete,
Our coaching staff would like to introduce Hampden-Sydney College (our nations 10th oldest College) and our lacrosse program to you. Hampden-Sydney offers a superb learning environment, an academic program with 26 majors and an excellent record of networking our graduates. As a matter of fact, one in five alumni are Presidents, CEOs or owners of their own business or company! Our students also enjoy an exciting social life. Come for a visit to experience this personally!
Our athletic facilities rank with the best of any college or university, including Hellmuth-Pritzlaff Lacrosse Stadium with new Field Turf surface, and a new, multi-million dollar renovation to the Everett football-lacrosse game stadium! The newly renovated Kirk Athletic Center features a year-round, 55-man lacrosse locker room. Our Tigers utilize both our varsity weight room and a new Fitness Center. Check-out these additions, and others, like our new $19-million library.
Since 1995, the Tigers have earned one of the top winning percentages (70%) in the strong ODAC Conference. The Tigers have played in 8 NCAA Championship Tournaments and have won four ODAC Championships. Our program has produced
First Team All-Americans such as Tom Oast (2000), Chris Biddison (2002),
2002 ODAC Player of the Year Jason Rostan (2003), Dr. Jamie Worthen (1998
National Defenseman of the Year - HSC Hall of Fame), and Jeff Jackson (1987
and member of the 1990 USA World Championship Team).
Also
among our elite players were our all-time scoring leaders John Gibson (1982
All-American - 266 career points) and Chris Lucas (2003 and 3-time
All-American - 163 career points). 5 Tigers have earned the prestigious
All-College Gammon Cup for the All-College Student-Athlete of the Year, and
nine Tigers are members of our College's Hall of Fame.
Please submit the questionnaire online immediately. Best wishes for continued success!
